FirstFridays journal :: the city...

On the "first" Friday of the month, I headed to Stuttgart from Munich to meet up with our German high school friends. We meet once a month for dinner, fellowship, and training. These are some of our YL Amicus students and friends from the class of '06 and '07.

Stuttgart is the one city where most of our YL Amicus volunteers and students come from. We have a 17 year history there, and have seen over 200 students come from this region to the US with Amicus. Our hope is that the ministry here will become a model that we see being duplicated in other German cities of Berlin, Munich, and Wuerzburg - where we currently have YL Amicus teams.

This is what I often see on my way to and from the city. This is a common scene on a saturday morning in Stuttgart, soccer fans pouring out of trains, all headed for the big saturday match.
