Romania YL Service Project - the kids...

these are the kids of Urican! They are such beautiful people, and you can see the light in their faces when you play and talk with them. This is amazing considering the environment they grow up in. A recent youth survey in Romania asked kids "how do you get ahead in life?" 50% said cheating and stealing, 30% said by connections, 11% said chance or luck, and only 9% said integrity or hard work will get you anywhere in life... this leads to the next entry about "New Horizons" the foundation started by the Young Life staff in the region to change the hearts and minds of young people...
